House at Kamisugi
This is the house combined with pharmacy built at narrow site (about 150 square meters) at the urban district in Sendai / Japan. The pharmacy was planned on the first and second floors, while the house on the third and fourth floors. I challenged low floor height, 2.48m, because the building height was limited 10m by sun-shadow restriction. The north side( almost blind) is reinforced concrete. The rest of the house has a structure of steel pipers. This makes the south area, with its two wells, clear and open. That made the well space of south area open. The floor heating and cooling system was adopted with a view to designing the well space simple. This work is the type of minimal architecture.
